The Capacity Planning Engineer will support the optimization of OnTrac’s last-mile delivery facilities by designing efficient layouts, improving internal traffic flow, and applying ergonomic best practices. This role will ensure our facility environments are safe, efficient, and scalable to support high-velocity operations.

Employment Logistics:

Location:  Remote

Pay:  $100 - 113K

Shift:   Monday to Friday from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

The Must-Haves:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

• 4-8 years experience in related field

• Occasional Travel as needed <10%
• It is the responsibility of every position to understand and adhere to the security guidelines outlined in OnTrac’s Acceptable Use policy and to conduct their activities accordingly.

Your Mission in Motion:

• Design and optimize facility layouts for new sites, expansions, and reconfigurations
• Analyze and improve pedestrian, vehicle, and cart traffic flow within sort facilities
• Apply ergonomic principles to workstations, material flow, and package handling
• Conduct time studies & recommend process improvements to reduce fatigue & injury risk
• Partner with Safety, Ops, and Facilities teams to support compliant, efficient environments
• Utilize CAD tools to produce layout drawings and support cross-functional planning
• Support equipment placement and space planning during facility launches and retrofits

We are looking for someone who is proficient in implementing innovation, enjoys creative problem solving, is capable of collaborating with multiple teams, and thrives working in a fast-paced environment.  

• Applies analytical thinking and structured problem-solving to validate design decisions
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with ability to manage multiple stakeholders
• Strong CAD (AutoCAD or equivalent) and Excel modeling skills
• Exposure to logistics, warehousing, or parcel delivery operations preferred
• Has good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work
