Employment Logistics:

The Director of Business Process Transformation leads the centralization and automation of Last Mile Operations’ (LMO) administrative and business processes. Reporting to the VP of LMO, this role is accountable for transforming high-volume manual workflows into a scalable, data-driven, and partially automated model that supports LMO’s growing Regional Service Provider (RSP) network. The Director partners with IT, Product, and cross-functional teams to implement SOPs, automation strategies, and governance frameworks that eliminate manual dependencies and drive measurable efficiency gains across compliance, settlement, and administrative functions.

The Must-Haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • 10+ years of experience in program development, operations management, or business strategy (last-mile logistics preferred)
  • 5+ years of proven experience leading and managing large-scale program implementations, cross-functional teams, administrative functions, and vendor relationships
  • Experience working with independent contractors (such as RSPs, DSPs, or 3PLs) or outsourced service providers preferred
  • Ability to travel as needed for stakeholder meetings, industry events, and prospective RSP engagements (approximately 15%)

Your Mission in Motion:

  • Centralize high-volume administrative work into a unified LMO operations model and design SOPs for RSP onboarding, compliance, and settlement workflows
  • Design and publish SOPs for all administrative and claims workflows, ensuring uniformity across 100+ facilities
  • Build automation roadmaps and deploy AI/chatbot solutions for document intake and inquiries, while overseeing automation rollouts and process standardization initiatives to ensure scalability and resilience across the network
  • Develop governance frameworks ensuring traceability, auditability, and scalability
  • Lead Kaizen/lean reviews to eliminate redundancies and embed continuous improvement loops across administrative processes
  • Partner with Product, IT, Legal, and QA to define automation priorities, sequencing, and integration strategies
  • Create dashboards and visualizations to track efficiency, claims recovery, and cost avoidance, ensuring data-driven decision-making
  • Manage a team of managers, analysts, and specialists supporting 500+ weekly hours of administrative work and drive accountability for performance metrics
