    Summary:

    We are seeking a visionary and hands-on Director of Operational Training to lead a complete transformation of our field operations training across 100+ sites. This is a foundational builder role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, has a strong point of view on modern training modalities, and is ready to leapfrog our organization into the future. You will own the strategy, design, and execution of a mobile-first, AI-powered, gamified training ecosystem that includes pre and new-hire experiences, compliance training, and field workforce training for customer service and operations. This role requires a strategic leader who can also roll up their sleeves and execute with urgency and accountability.

    Responsibilities:

    Training Transformation Leadership: Developand execute a full redesign of our field operations training strategy, including onboarding, compliance, and pre-hire experiences for operations including hourly and exempt employees.

    AI-Driven Content Development: Lead the development, implementation, and adpotion of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools for content creation, including video, simulation, and mobile-first formats.

    Technology Ownership: Own the end-to-end RFP process for selecting and implementing new training platforms, apps, and content tools in partnership with Procurement, Human Resources, Learning & Development,and IT.Champion the shift to mobile-first, gamified, and self-directed learning experiences that reduce reliance on in-person PowerPoint-based training. Manage ongoing evaluations to keep OnTrac at the forefront of technology.

    Team Leadership & Org Design: Lead a team of 7 trainers and content creatorsfrom day one and evolve the team structure to meet future needs. Develop succession plans and build a high-performing training organization.

    Stakeholder Influence: Partner with HR, Operations, and Executive Leadership to align training strategy with business goals and drive adoption across the organization.

    Performance Measurement: Define and track success metrics, including onboarding time reduction, training compliance, and system adoption and retention.

    Builder Mindset: Proven experience building training programs from scratch in both large-scale and scrappy environments.

    Ownership Mentality: Demonstrated ability to take full accountability for outcomes and drive initiatives independently.

    Hands-On Leadership: Comfortable operating at both strategic and tactical levels—can lead vision and execute details.

    AI & Tech Fluency: Hands-on experience with AI content tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Synthesia, Docebo Shape or others) and mobile learning platforms.

    Training Expertise: Deep understanding of training modalities that work for hourly teams, including gamification and mobile-first design.

    Communication & Influence: Strong presentation skills with the ability to influence executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

    Organizational Design: Experience designing and evolving training teams to meet changing business needs.

    Bias for Action: Thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with minimal red tape.

    Minimum Requirements:

    Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Organizational Development, HR, or related field.

    10+ years of progressive experience in training, learning & development, or operations leadership roles, with a strong focus on frontline workforce enablement

    Minimum 5 years of experience leading training teams and/or large-scale initiatives across multiple sites

    Strong project management skills and experience overseeing complex initiatives from strategy through execution, including change management and adoption efforts across cross-functional teams.

    Track record of owning RFPs and implementing new training technologies.

    Strong analytical skills and ability to measure and analyze training effectiveness.

    Demonstrated success leading change management and adoption efforts across cross-functional teams

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence executive stakeholders
