Compensation: $150k-$187k
Position Summary:
The Director of Sales Operations, Strategic Accounts is a key leadership role responsible for driving the development, execution, and optimization of end-to-end operational strategies that support our largest and most complex customers. This role requires a strategic thinker and tactical executor with a deep understanding of logistics operations, supply chain processes, customer collaboration, and sales enablement. The ideal candidate will bring strong cross-functional leadership skills to influence customer adoption, improve operational outcomes, and grow strategic relationships through value-driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Process & Operational Development
- Lead end-to-end business process analysis and mapping with strategic accounts to identify mutually beneficial workflows and operational efficiencies.
- Build future-state network and process enhancements to support scalability and innovation in last-mile delivery.
- Partner with customers and internal stakeholders to co-develop and continuously improve processes through Kaizen and Lean methodologies.
Customer Collaboration & Proposal Development
- Create comprehensive customer-facing proposals and presentations that articulate OnTrac’s capabilities, operations model, and value proposition.
- Conduct detailed supply chain mapping sessions to align OnTrac’s services with customer goals and pain points.
- Develop compelling, data-driven plans that influence customer adoption and expand wallet share.
Performance Management & Execution
- Own and maintain customer KPI scorecards; proactively develop initiatives to ensure OnTrac consistently meets or exceeds customer-defined performance metrics.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and lead cross-functional resolution efforts to restore service levels and customer confidence.
- Coordinate and lead peak volume planning efforts, including resource allocation, contingency plans, and performance monitoring.
Customer and Internal Engagement
- Conduct onsite visits with customers to build relationships, drive process alignment, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Visit OnTrac operational sites regularly to align field execution with customer expectations and identify internal opportunities for enhancement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field
- 8+ years of experience in sales operations, logistics, supply chain strategy, or customer solutions, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience developing customer-facing business solutions and proposals in the transportation or logistics industry.
- Strong understanding of logistics, distribution networks, and final-mile delivery models.
- Skilled in process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to travel 30%-40% for customer and operational site visits.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience coordinating peak or seasonal volume surges in high-throughput logistics environments.
- Deep understanding of customer KPIs in e-commerce, retail, or parcel delivery industries.
- Proficiency in mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart), CRM platforms (Salesforce), and Microsoft Office Suite (especially PowerPoint and Excel).
