Employment Logistics:

The Industrial Engineer, Supply Chain Manager is in charge of leading network design and optimization across OnTrac’s network, analyzing and continuously improving performance to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and support scalable growth. The role leads end‑to‑end initiatives: from modeling and scenario analysis through implementation, in close partnership with Engineering, Operations, Finance, Linehaul, and Technology.

The Must-Haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of experience in logistics planning, supply chain analytics, or network planning
  • Experience developing long-range forecasts or scenario-based planning models in a complex network environment
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Excel, Power Query, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI)
  • Ability to translate ambiguous data into clear planning assumptions and recommendations
  • Experience working cross-functionally to influence strategic and operational decisions
  • Ability to travel up to 20%

Your Mission in Motion:

  • Own the development of the medium- to long-term network volume plan, including peak season planning, translating business inputs into actionable volume and capacity scenarios
  • Build and maintain scenario-based planning frameworks that evaluate customer growth, new service launches, network changes, and demand variability, clearly articulating risks and tradeoffs
  • Partner with commercial, operations leadership, finance, network planning, and engineering teams to align on assumptions, opportunities, and planning decisions, including Peak +1 and long-term network evolution (TNTs)
  • Develop scalable models and tools using SQL, Excel, Power Query, and Power BI to support long-range planning, improving the accuracy, explainability, and usability of outputs  
  • Lead cross-functional discussions that drive alignment, unblock decisions, and move work from analysis to action, communicating complex scenarios and business conditions clearly across stakeholders
  • Define and continuously improve the planning mechanisms and methodologies that connect long-range strategy to downstream planning and execution

  • You identify risks early, create mitigation plans, and pivot with urgency to resolve blockers in time‑sensitive environments.
  • You sweat the details while translating long‑term strategy into executable action plans with clear KPIs.
