We are hiring an experienced, highly motivated junior in-house attorney to join our Legal Team. Under the direction of supervising attorneys, this position will support a wide range of corporate legal matters. This role offers the opportunity to gain handson experience in litigation, risk management, labor and employment, and commercial contracts.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive anddetail-oriented attorney who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is eager to grow within an in-house legal department.

This is a remote role with occasional travel required.

What You'll Do:

• Support internal and external legal counsel in all stages of company litigation, including tort, class action, and labor and employment matters.
• Investigate and respond to legal claims and informal disputes, such as demand letters and agency actions.
• Manage the discovery process, including reviewing, revising, and drafting responses to discovery.  
• Assist with the factual development and analysis of cases, including communication with relevant business stakeholders to establish the facts of the case.
• Support pre-litigation dispute resolution, including risk assessment and mediation efforts.
• Coordinate with outside counsel and internal stakeholders through written and verbal communication.
• Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
• Provide legal counsel on corporate matters, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation.
• Assist with employment-related disputes and regulatory investigations.
• Support the Legal team with administrative tasks such as electronic file organization, managing correspondence, and reporting.
• Handle highly confidential information regarding the legal and internal operations of the company.
• Review and respond to third-party subpoenas with administrative support.
• Additional projects and tasks as needed.

What You’ll Bring:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.)from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in at least one state and in good standing.
• 3–5 years of legal experience in a law firm or in-house legal department, with a focus on litigation and/or dispute resolution.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail oriented with strongresearch and analytical skills.
• Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe; experience with Legal Tracker is also a plus.
• Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of management and external parties.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Strong work ethic with a goal-oriented focus as well as flexibility to take on new areas of responsibilities.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of matters, work efficiently and proactively, take initiative, prioritize workflow, meet demanding deadlines, and oversee multi-dimensional projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with insurance defense, class actions, labor and employment, and independent contractor misclassification claimsstrongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of contract law preferred.
