The Line Haul Planning & Analytics Analyst leads forecasting and performance analytics for middle mile transportation. This individual will serve as the strategic owner of the line haul forecasting process, leading end-to-end forecasting across short- and long-term horizons, expanding capabilities for increasingly complex business scenarios, enhancing model sophistication, and driving automation across planning workflows. This role partners closely with Operations and Network Planning to identify cost optimization opportunities, improve network efficiency, and enable data-driven decision-making in a fast-paced logistics environment.

The Must-Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Supply Chain, Engineering, Analytics, Finance, or related)
- 7–10 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain analytics, with a focus on forecasting and planning
- Advanced Excel skills (including complex modeling and data manipulation)
- Expert-level proficiency in Power BI and Power Query
- Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and analysis
- Demonstrated experience building forecasting models and scalable reporting solutions
- Proven ability to develop scalable tools and processes from complex datasets
- Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 10%)
Your Mission in Motion:
- Forecast ownership & performance management: Own and evolve the end-to-end line haul forecasting process across short- and long-term horizons, including management of forecast performance metrics (accuracy, bias).
- Tooling, automation & scalability: Build and scale line haul planning tools and processes using Power BI, Power Query, and SQL, driving automation and transitioning from manual and Excel-based workflows to scalable, enterprise-ready solutions.
- Lane-level performance analytics: Analyze lane-level performance through deep dives into truck utilization, cancellations, and load factors to identify trends and unlock cost efficiencies.
- Cross-functional business cases & network optimization: Partner with network planning, engineering, and operations to develop data-driven business cases and support network design and optimization initiatives.
- Scenario modeling & what-if analysis: Lead scenario modeling and what-if analyses to support planning decisions, peak/surge strategies, and evolving business needs.
- Stakeholder storytelling: Present insights, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to stakeholders at all levels to drive alignment and informed decision-making.
- Long-term analytics strategy: Define and drive the long-term tooling and analytics strategy for line haul forecasting, increasing model sophistication and scalability over time.
