Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Revenue Management, the Pricing Analyst is responsible for developing and maintaining strategies, tools, and processes to support profit optimization from market rates and negotiated customer agreements. The Pricing Analyst will have strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, interpersonal, and application (Excel, SQL) skills.
Responsibilities:
Pricing Strategy:
· Develop and implement pricing strategies that align with company objectives, market conditions, and customer value perceptions.
· Regularly review and adjust pricing models to respond to changes in the market and competitive landscape.
· Maintain a database of historical pricing data to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of pricing and guide pricing decisions.
· Develop and maintain tools, reports, and communications for accurate pricing information responsive to market changes.
Market Analysis:
· Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and pricing benchmarks.
· Analyze customer behavior, preferences, and market dynamics to inform pricing decisions.
Cost Evaluation:
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the cost components associated with our products and services.
· Evaluate cost structures, considering factors such as production, distribution, and operational expenses.
Competencies:
OnTrac is looking for a detail oriented, analytical, curious, fast-learning, and self-directed Revenue Management Analyst to complement our growing team. Experience designing new processes and controls, and involvement in testing and deployment of new processes/system is a plus. Successful candidate will have Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Marketing, Data Science, Finance, Economics or Quantitative fields.
Financial Modeling:
· Create and maintain financial models to simulate various pricing scenarios and their impact on revenue, profit margins, and market share.
· Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analyses.
· Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge.
Collaboration:
· Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance and IT teams to ensure pricing strategies and systems align with overall business goals and revenue targets.
· Provide support in new product development and implementation.
· Efficiently work on several projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and priorities are met
Data-driven Decision Making:
· Experience using SQL to generate datasets
· Ability to manipulate and analyze large datasets effectively
· Utilize data analytics and key performance indicators to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of pricing strategies.
· Make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
· Familiarity with relational databases, data hierarchies and working with structured data inside of CRM and outside of CRM (Excel/ Tableau)
Minimum Requirements:
· Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
· 1-3 years experience in related field
· Occasional Travel as needed <10%
