Temporary Assignment
Summary:
OnTrac’s Last Mile Operations (LMO) is seeking a highly experienced Temporary Contractor – Settlement Audit & Analytics to support its Last Mile Operations (LMO) team. This role is critical to ensuring accurate settlement to our Regional Service Providers (RSPs), identifying overpayments, and improving the integrity of our compensation processes. The contractor will conduct detailed audits of settlement transactions and build scalable reporting tools to drive efficiency, accuracy, and transparency. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, data-driven professional with a strong background in financial auditing, operations analytics, and process optimization.
Responsibilities:
Audit weekly settlement files to identify discrepancies, overpayments, and systemic issues impacting contractor pay accuracy
Build dashboards and self-serve tools to automate detection of settlement anomalies
Collaborate with Product, Finance, and Operations to resolve issues and prevent recurrence
Document and communicate audit findings, including root causes, business impacts, and recommendations
Partner with leadership to define success metrics for settlement governance and reporting accuracy
Support readiness for EPC settlement migration in the Western region by validating rule application and exceptions
Competencies:
Strong analytical acumen and attention to detail
High proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Sigma, or Looker
Effective communicator capable of simplifying complex data for senior stakeholders
Proactive problem-solver with a bias for execution
Ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
Knowledge of settlement logic, audit processes, and contractor-based compensation frameworks
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
8+ years of professional experience in analytics, auditing, finance, or operations roles
Demonstrated experience conducting audits and developing reporting tools in a logistics or service-driven industry
Advanced Excel and SQL skills; experience with business intelligence tools is a must
Proven ability to identify cost risks, track anomalies, and influence operational changes
Prior experience supporting or managing high-stakes audit projects with financial impact
