Sr Labor Planning Analyst | Dallas, TX | Hybrid | Logistics

Summary:

As a Senior Labor Planning Analyst in the finance division of a package delivery company, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing labor costs, forecasting workforce expenses, and ensuring financial efficiency in staffing. Your insights will support strategic decision-making and operational performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop labor and financial models to analyze costs, productivity, and workforce allocation across a network of 100+ locations.

  • Partner with operations/business teams to consult, develop and implement KPI's, automated reporting/process solutions, and process improvements to meet business needs.

  • Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format.

  • Prepare and deliver business requirements reviews to the senior management team regarding progress and roadblocks.Utilize advanced data analytics tools to provide actionable insights.

  • Participate in strategic and tactical planning discussions.

  • Design, develop and maintain scaled, automated, user-friendly systems, reports, dashboards, etc. that will support our business needs.

  • Forecast labor expenses based on seasonal trends, volume projections, and operational demands.

  • Partner with finance and operations teams to ensure budget alignment and cost-effective staffing solutions.Conduct variance analysis on labor spending and recommend cost-saving strategies.

Competencies:

  • Strong financial acumen with experience in workforce planning.

  • Exceptional in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Power BI).

  • Knowledge of financial forecasting, budgeting, and cost optimization.

  • Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Experience in logistics, supply chain, or package delivery industries preferred.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

  • ​3-5 years experience in related field

  • Up to 10% Travel
