Employment Logistics:

We are seeking a Sr. Manager, Carrier Partnerships. This role will have a direct impact on the service we provide for our customers and the financial performance of the company. You will be a key cross-functional leader, instrumental in building and developing strategic carrier partnerships. This role takes analytics into action by leading the operations organization in data-informed decision making.

You will collaborate closely with operations, performance, and network design leadership, and commercial teams to ensure our carrier partnership strategy is fully aligned with our growth objectives. This includes building a comprehensive portfolio of carrier partners, a roadmap that aligns with corporate objections, and financial and performance metrics that deliver on company goals.

Your success will be measured by your ability to build a portfolio of carrier partnerships and optimize for performance and cost objectives. You will empower our carriers to deliver high-value, insightful solutions to complex problems, and new areas for value creation. This unique position offers direct exposure and influence, requiring you to communicate natively with everyone from front-line operators to the executive team, translating complex problems into clear, actionable insights.

The Must-Haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related analytical field
  • 10+ years of experience in carrier partnership management and transportation contract negotiations
  • Proven ability to leverage technology for operational productivity & proficiency in Business Intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker; SQL proficiency)
  • Advanced Excel skills and relevant experience in high-volume logistics, manufacturing, or e-commerce
  • Remote-first role with some travel required

Your Mission in Motion:

  • Lead carrier partnership strategy—building and managing relationships with regional and national asset and non-asset providers to improve on-time performance and network productivity.
  • Own transportation budget planning and execution, delivering year-over-year productivity and value for both OnTrac and its carrier partners.
  • Drive operational excellence by developing actionable KPIs, leading tech initiatives for freight visibility, and aligning the BI roadmap with high-impact business priorities.
