Location: Hybrid

Shift: Monday to Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm

Employment Logistics:

The Director of Finance will support our commercial team, supervising all financial matters pertaining to commercial functions. This entails ensuring strategic alignment and economic stability throughout the organization. This position aims to optimize shareholder value by emphasizing excellence and financial efficiency.

The Must-Haves:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of experience in related field
  • Up to 25% Travel

Your Mission in Motion:

  • Provide strategic financial leadership and guidance to multiple Operations departments, collaborating closely with leaders to drive financial performance and efficiency across the Operations organization with ownership of Under the Roof (UTR).
  • Partner with the Labor Planning product team, analyzing financial opportunities and impacts of strategy and execution.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to support operations and optimize resource allocation.
  • Drive the annual budgeting and forecasting process for Sortation, working closely with department heads to develop realistic and actionable financial plans.
  • Monitor and analyze key financial and operations metrics, providing insights and recommendations to improve performance and mitigate risks.
  • Drive continuous process improvement initiatives within the Operations Finance support function, identifying opportunities to streamline processes, reduce costs, and enhance productivity.
  • Manage financial reporting and analysis for cost activities, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and ad-hoc reporting as required.
  • Participate in multiple cross-functional projects and initiatives to support strategic initiatives and cost reduction, collaborating with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in finance and apply knowledge to drive innovation and improvement initiatives.

  • Exhibit demonstrated proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting, complemented by a solid understanding of financial regulations, compliance requirements, internal controls, and proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis tools, and enterprise financial systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights; adaptable to change
  • Adept at effectively collaborating and influencing stakeholders across all organizational levels, while articulating ideas clearly and concisely through various communication channels.
  • Demonstrate openness and honesty in behavior and communication, consistently following through on commitments and taking accountability for outcomes, fostering an environment of trustworthiness and reliability.
  • Exhibits strong organizational skills and attention to detail, effectively managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
