Compensation:

The expected starting base pay range for this position is $28.77 to $35.96 with a full potential base salary range over a successful candidate’s tenure in the position of $28.77 to $43.15.

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, internal equity, and other job-related factors.

This position may also be eligible for shift differentials, overtime pay, or other forms of additional compensation, in accordance with applicable Company policies and law.

Schedule:

Wednesday through Saturday from 1:00pm to 11:30pm

(Hours subject to change depending on business needs)

Our Maintenance Tech I ensures all conveyor systems are inspected, maintained, and repaired in accordance with federal and state regulations as well as company standards and will ensure a safe working environment. The Must-Haves:

  • High school diploma or GED, technical degree or trade school certificate preferred.
  • 1 year of related experience and / or training in industrial maintenance, automated conveyor systems, material handling equipment or equivalent.
  • Exposure to high voltage electrical systems.
  • Ability to lift 60 pounds routinely.
  • Current driver’s license and clean driving record.

Your Mission in Motion:

A summary of the key responsibilities for this role is outlined below. Additional duties may be assigned as needed to support business and operational needs.

  • Ensure proper operation of conveyor systems and material handling equipment to keep operations running smoothly, responding in a timely manner to all material handling systems breakdowns.
  • Maintain and provide routine preventive maintenance to conveyor systems.
  • Change and repair parts of conveyor systems, as well as rebuild and align equipment, gears, shafts, pulleys, and belts.
  • Use illustrated parts breakdown manuals and operational manuals in the repair, modification, and maintenance of equipment.
  • Perform housekeeping duties including work area clean-up, conveyor and equipment clean-up, and other general housekeeping duties as assigned.
  • Conduct daily inspections of machinery for potential problems.
  • From time to time, you may be called in after hours to ensure material handling and conveyor systems are working at optimum capacity.
  • Maintain and contribute to a safe work environment by adhering to policies and procedures as outlined in the Company Safety Program.

Paving your way to your success:

  • You possess the ability to learn and follow all safety regulations and job instructions to perform job duties.
  • You utilize company tools and are able to request new tools as needed.
  • You demonstrate knowledge of material handling systems, industrial conveyor systems and controls in distribution, shipping, and sorting environments, VFDs, and electronic motors (480V).
  • You possess knowledge of LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) procedures, Preventative Maintenance, and 3-Phase electrical work.
  • You have the ability to read and understand schematics and electrical blueprints.
  • You have mechanical and electrical aptitude and work experience.
  • You possess knowledge of OSHA requirements.
  • You are able to maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate 24-hour operations, occasionally working extended hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
