Location:Remote MUST reside in Phoenix, AZ

Pay:$87,000. - $109,000.

Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Hours may vary depending on business needs. 

Employment Logistics:

The Systems & Network Administrator IIrole is to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the in-house information systems that support core organizational functions. This is achieved by monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all networked software and associated operating systems.

The Systems & Network Administrator IIwill work within their specific discipline to provide advanced services. Disciplines may include local Domain Administration, Azure – Microsoft 365, SCCM, VMware Horizon View, VMware vSphere or another suite of products. The Systems & Network Administrator IIpossess in-depth technical knowledge of the deployed software and hardware and possesses advanced analytical, troubleshooting and design skills. The ability to communicate with technical and nontechnical users is essential. Extensive knowledge of and attention to detail to the process, including specification, documentation and quality assurance are required.

The Must-Haves:

  • University degree BA/BS or undergrade degree in computer science and/or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Proven experience in the design, security, stability, and implementation of systems, applications, and related products
  • Proven experience with systems planning, security principles, and best practices
  • Experience with core software applications, including Azure/Microsoft 365, Windows Operating Systems, MECM, VMware vSphere/Horizon, Backup systems and other essential systems

Your Mission in Motion:

Strategy & Planning

  • Collaborate with infrastructure & development teams to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes
  • Review and assess impact to existing systems in the environment
  • Work with executive team members, decision makers, and stakeholders to define business requirements and systems goals, and to identify and resolve business systems issues

Acquisition & Deployment

  • Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions
  • Conduct research on software and systems products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts
  • Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure system-related products and services

Operational Management

  • Design, install, maintain and support technical infrastructure, hardware and system software components
  • Provide top-tier support of system software and hardware to Systems Administrators and Customers alike
  • Design, configure, troubleshoot and support multiple infrastructure platforms
  • Performing high-level root cause analysis for service interruption recovery and create preventive measures
  • Develop automation technologies to align with technical and business needs
  • Continually improve infrastructure designs through research and adoption of new products and automation technologies for the purpose of lowering cost, easing management burden, increasing consistency, or providing performance improvements
  • Provide automation processes for provisioning, configuration, build-test-deploy and ongoing support tasks in support of the infrastructure team
  • Provide application/Windows OS installation/configuration/patching as well as data reporting
  • Design and deploy new applications and enhancements to existing applications, software, and operating systems
  • Gauge the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems; develop and implement strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems
  • Propose and create system design models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to technical teams
  • Design and perform server and security audits, system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the company’s disaster recovery and business continuity strategies
  • Integrate servers, including database, e-mail, print, and backup servers and their associated software into enterprise systems
  • Ensure system connectivity of all servers, shared software, groupware, and other applications
  • Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records
  • Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems
  • Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems
  • Monitor and test system performance; prepare and deliver system performance statistics and reports
  • Provide orientation and training to junior members and end users for all modified and newsystems

Paving your way to your success:

  • Excellent software troubleshooting experience
  • Extensive technical support experience
  • Strong working technical knowledge of PowerShell
  • Strong working knowledge of network and PC operating systems
  • Competence with testing, flowchart, and data mapping tools and procedures
  • Ability to understand the organization’s goals and objectives
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
  • On-call availability for 7 days or more per month
